Horse Mattress Comfort
What is a horse mattress comfort?
The Comfort mattress is a waterproof mattress that spans from wall to wall. The mattress is not only ergonomic but also efficient, economical, and environmentally friendly.
Our mattresses can be used as birthing mattresses due to their high resilience, mimicking a natural pasture. While standing, the mattresses provide excellent support, as they offer a smooth surface. When horses lie on the horse mattresses, stiff joints are relieved, and the recovery time significantly decreases.

Material Savings
With our horse mattresses, you will need up to 80% less straw or other bedding materials.
For an average of 500kg of straw per month for a 3x3m box, this amounts to 6000kg of straw per year. The price for 1 ton of straw is around €150. Thus, the cost of straw per box would be €900 per year. However, with our horse mattress, this cost drops to just €120 for straw. This means you save €780 per year just on straw per box. Additionally, with less straw in the stable, you will finish cleaning the stable faster, require less manure disposal, need less storage for the straw, and more.
For an average 3×3 box, you will already recover 78% of the cost of the horse mattress in the first year from savings on straw. If you also factor in the disposal costs for straw, storage, and labor, the savings will be even higher.
Given:
- 500kg of straw per month for a 3x3m box
- Price of straw per 1000kg is €150
- With our horse mattresses, you save 80% on straw
Expenses for a standard 3x3m box:
- 12 x 500 = 6000kg of straw per year
- 6 x 150 = €900 for straw per year
Expenses for a box with our horse mattresses (3x3m):
- 12 x 500 = 6000kg of straw per year
- 0.2 x 6000 = 1200kg of straw per year (80% less straw)
- 1.2 x 150 = €180 for straw per year
Conclusion:
- €900 – €180 = €720 savings per year on straw
Materials
1. Multicellular Mattress
Filled with uniform rubber chips
The main component of the horse mattress is a multicellular mattress filled with rubber chips. These special chips ensure the horse mattress is firm yet soft.
2. Uniform Rubber Chips
Provides a consistently soft mattress
Each rubber chip is measured and sorted by size, ensuring uniformity throughout the entire stable.
3. Rubber-Coated Top Layer
Slip-resistant and waterproof
The top layer of the horse mattress consists of a high-quality rubber coating. This ensures that the top layer is waterproof and slip-resistant. Since it is waterproof and made in one piece, no moisture can penetrate under the top layer, making the stable easy to clean thoroughly.
4. Plastic Fastening Strips
Made from strong plastic for long-lasting durability
The durable strips ensure that the top layer stays in place and remains perfectly flat. This is not only beneficial for the comfort of the horses but also enhances the longevity of the horse mattress.
